Taking an active part in helping pollinators and the planet can be pretty simple. You might already be an active conservationist or beekeeper. I like the feeling of saving bees and sparking that conversation, I bet you do too. These are a few ways we can all make changes.
T-Shirts with a Message
My love for honey bees and flowers was the catalyst for starting my company. I wanted to create a bee shirt that was made specifically for women. Our shirts feature designs that are conversation starters (“I love bees too!”), are beautiful, and can lead to action. It has been the perfect way to share my passion with the world.
Sustaining Pollinators
Pollinators are dependent on the land for survival. Most of our native prairie lands and woods are succumbing to urbanization and growth. When natural habitats are taken down to build houses and roads, those natural habitats are destroyed. Pollinators are not just honey bees and butterflies. Hummingbirds, beetles and bats are also important pollinators and part of the ecosystem. 75% of the world’s food crops are pollinated by animals.
Ways to help:
- Plant pollinator flowers and trees
- Start a vegetable garden
- Stop using pesticides
- Convert turf grass yards to native prairies
Tees and Seeds
Part of my mission is to encourage people to grow pollinator friendly gardens. I personally packaged pollinator seed packs that I gift with every t-shirt purchase. Simple instructions are written directly on the package so you can take action.
Benefits of a pollinator garden:
- No fertilizers needed
- Stop using pesticides
- You are providing pollinators a natural habitat
- Taking a primary role improving your environment
- Less mowing and watering
- Enjoy watching all the beautiful pollinators that take refuge in your yard
Buzz like a Bee
I have taken care to design bees that reflect the real honey bee that we all love and cherish. No more silly ill fitting shirts. Now you can look bee-utiful, bring awareness to honey bees, and plant seeds to help our pollinators. Whether you are a beekeeper, love bees from afar, or just love the earth, these shirts are for you.
